So what is the problem with "dry firing"?

So... Could you place an empty .22 casing in the chamber, the safely dry-fire it? Ignoring mechanical feeding issues, etc.

      Most Damaging Handgun Caliber

In my noobish opinion, I'd say for semi-autos, a 10mm or a .357Sig would both be great. Ammo is expensiveish, but both have great power. Perhaps a 10mm glock, whatever frame size you feel comfy with, and get a .357Sig conversion barrel and a .40S&W conversion barrel. Or maybe a Caracal, they...

      Hello!

I actually attended Operation Catapult this summer, but I was a bit disappointed with it. $50 isn't a whole lot to work with, especially when they force you to buy a $13 part to make your project "safe". M1 Bayonet?

I was talking to my grandpa today, and he pulled out an old military knife and what he claimed was a M1 Garand bayonet. It looked to be in fair condition, had decent finish, and the tip was chipped. Aside from that, the blade wasn't actually sharp. It looked like it was made that way, but what...

      Hello!

Hello, my name is Jacob, I've recently turned 18, and I know a little bit about firearms, much more than people who have grown up on COD, but less than the rest of you, I'm guessing. I currently live in California, and am finishing up my senior year in HS. I hope to go to an engineering college...
