      Car guns?

      I have my STAR Super Model B in mine. Like most people said, it's easier for me to reach into the glove box and grab it as opposed to pulling my primary side arm from the sitting position.

      I bought this gun, so the INGO guys can forgive me

      I HATE Glocks. Those particular grips feel like I'm holding onto a cheese grater when it's in my hand. *Thumbs down*

      jericho has landed.

      Gunbroker has some selling them for $349. They are steel framed - not polymer. I'm not sure if they are .45 or 9mm. They ARE cool guns though!

      Are Colt 1911s still in production?

      Yes. As a matter of fact the US Government has just placed a large order for a big batch of 1911's for the US Marine Special Forces (search Fox News.) Lucky them! They have been complaining about the current Beretta 92FS' stopping power. Nothing beats a .45 I guess.
