      Ah, the "when did you get THAT gun?" question. I've heard it many times before. I can't use the old "this old thing?" anymore, so I just tell her that she should remember this, I showed it to her before. To some women, they all look alike. :):

      Go to the L-1 web site, select a location for fingerprinting, and then pay both the state fee and the L-1 fee on line. Saves time and trouble. Be sure to print out a receipt and take it to the L-1 location and to your local police/sheriff. Mine took 10 days total, but I had to wait on the...

      Current LTCH Wait

      I got mine in exactly 10 days, and I think it might have taken less, but I had to wait for two days because the clerk at the police station here in Crown Point only works Thursday mornings. That, plus sometimes our mail is a bit slow! Go the L-1 route - it's not worth the wait otherwise.

      Not sure if L1 being sold is a good or bad thing - I think I might get my wife's license ASAP. I just got mine, took about 9 days from the start to the post office delivering that little pink card to my mailbox. And that's because Crown Point reportedly only has a clerk available on Thursday...

      This L1 issue sounds good, but it must be a deep dark secret. What's the URL??? Anybody know? I've tried google and it doesn't come up.
