      Indy 1500 report

We got there about 5:00, walked straight in......no crowds. I thought ammo was priced high......gun prices even higher......but then again I don't like to dicker over price. I had a wish list of a couple of items but didn't see anything I couldn't live without. What it allows me is the...

Cleaning up the trigger on a SP101

Went shopping with the wife and she decided she liked the SP101 chambered in 357 with the 3" barrel. The one she held and dry fired had hogue grips and a trigger job. The gun was used, no box, no idea on round count.......the price $499. I called Keenes (Kentucky Gun Co) .......I know a...

      Deep conceal carry.....

Thank you.....lots of good suggestions here. I like the idea of a pocket holster.....I'm going to start putting some smaller models in my hand to see how they feel.

I've been looking for one of these to handle before I give it much more thought. Anyone know of a shop that has them in stock. Nothing in Bloomington has them.....

      Deep conceal carry.....

I have had my LTCH for several years and albeit right or wrong a new job in a new town has presented me with a dilemma with regards to carry options. Usually, I conceal carry however there are instances when fishing or riding motorcycles that I open carry for no other reason than it's easier...

      Back yard targets.....

Just a back stop to save the tree........Mother Earth behind is the back stop.

      Back yard targets.....

Bring some 22's or 9 mm over........for any that goes through, I'll give you a dollar and for anyone that does not go through you give me a quarter.........we'll do this till one if us runs out money or ammo. Then we'll have a beer. We've shot well over 1000 rounds in it and that tree doesn't...

      Back yard targets.....

Nope....there's about a foot between the hay bale and that beech tree and nary a round of 22, 9 or 40 has went through it. The hay is there to keep the tree from getting chewed up. I've had people shoot them for years and it stops them.......now you don't want this to be the only backstop...

      Back yard targets.....

My wife started shooting with me recently. I decided to set up a little backyard range so we could shoot in the evenings.......she's seems to be having a lot of fun. I've got 5 more smaller steel targets ranging from 4-8 inches I'll hang off the bottom rail. I rolled the hay bale down so we...

Glock 19 fail to feed when wife shoots......does fine when anyone else shoots...

Yep.....watched the video from the military arms channel and it did exactly like that.....unfortunately I believe the damage was done, I told her we would shoot some more later, she said she only wants to shoot the 22.

Glock 19 fail to feed when wife shoots......does fine when anyone else shoots...

G19 would fail to feed after every shot when my wife would shoot.......the slide wouldn't lock back on her last shot of the mag either. Did not do nor has it ever behaved like this when I shoot it. Has upgraded slide spring in the gun. My neighbor and I watched her to make sure she wasn't...

Handgun Instruction for my wife and I.....

Not really sure what I need here, so I'll just throw out the scenario and perhaps a more learned advisor will comment. Myself, I grew up around long guns. We shot trap and hunted. My first real experience with handguns in the military when I was required to qualify and certify with small...

Volquartsen trigger job for a MKIII

Maybe sometime I might feel comfortable but I don't think so now.......thanks for the excellent link though. The gun is a SS model so after the burr is smoothed out it would need to be polished out. Again thank you very much but my knowledge and comfort level is limited.

Volquartsen trigger job for a MKIII

Hey all..... I could sure use some reccomendations for a smith that is relatively close to Bloomington who would install a trigger kit onmy MK III. There is also a small burr on the back of the grip.....looks like to PO buggered it up when it was taken apart. Any suggestions would be...

      WTS: 2005 KLR 650

Probably........I actually need to clean it up again. A couple of weeks ago when the temps got up around 50, I took a ride out in the Hoosier National Forest. It's got some mud on the wheels and fenders. Do you ride dual sport? I rode this bike this past summer when a buddy and I ran the...
