      downzero- apologies as i've not read the whole thread, but to your initial post, i have the m&p 9mm with the 4.25" barrel. it is indeed light, and a great gun, but not a carry pistol for me personally. i'm tall and thin, and it prints pretty noticeably on my frame. not sure if this helps at...
