      Wild game available

Anybody know the closest Elk farm to Evansville? I've seen the one up by Bloomfield but didn't realize they sold meat. I love Elk burgers, by far my favorite. Planning on doing an elk hunt either this year or next, but would still be nice to be able to make a short drive and pick some up.

      getting back into archery

I bought my bow off of archery talk. Found a '08 Bowtech BNIB leftover in '10. There is at least one guy on there that purchases shops leftover bows and sells them online. Paid less than half of retail and couldn't be happier with my setup.

We went to a hunting preserve in tennessee last September that has buffalo. Doesn't seem like much of a hunt. Definitely magnificent animals and got to see two but heads at about 50 yards. When the two collided it shook the ground. Awesome experience!

      cougar trapped

I'm 99% positive I saw one last year around Gentryville. It was late at night and a bit tan "cat" slinked across the road. I told my girlfriend it looked like a cougar. She told me I was crazy. Told a co-worker who's inlaws Live out there the story. He said they have one on trail cam.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I actually recently joined TNGO being I used to live there and knew the creator from a car board he ran. While there someone from here joined the board so I looked it up and joined. It does appear there are a few Evansvillians here which is good. I actually live...

How did you get started hunting?

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a hunting family. For as long as I can remember I was going hunting with my dad, uncle, grandpa and great-uncle. Started around 5-6 with the old faithful red rider bob gun. Graduated to a chipmunk .22 them a double barrel .410 for bird hunting. Killed my...
