Sweet Bulgarian...
I love my "Mak"! Very trustworthy. Great in the hand. Accurate at reasonable distances. Easy to carry in my Stoner 415 IWB.
Thinking about having some sights that I can see put on it and having a cerakote job done to protect the steel from rusting.
Seems like a good deal. They are not available anywhere right now. If they were they'd probably be full retail of $600+ plus tax, FFL fee, etc.
CZ-USA -> CZ 75 B
It is a great pistol.
I put 150 rounds through my CZ75 P-01 today. It is the best gun I have ever shot.
Not Glock marketing... the opinion of a friend of mine formerly with the IPD and then the FBI. He swears by Glock over all other brands. Just his opinion, but a well-informed opinion.
I appreciate your suggestions of other firearms. I am in the process of putting thousands of problem-free...
Thanks, Dead Duck. Some of these guys are harsh, but that's what I get for asking for opinions, qualified or unqualified. I have strong shoulders. I can take it. I appreciate your response and the other friendly responses.
The reason I am researching this is because of the reliability of Glocks. I don't think many pistols measure up to the "go bang everytime" record of the Glock and offer as many sizes and calibers.
I'm also not trying to be a smartass, but people have differing opinions in what is "enough safety". My opinion is that Glock is short by one... a thumb safety (or a grip safety would do as well.) To each his own.
Just wondering if anyone has ever seen/used/installed one of the Cominolli thumb safeties on a Glock?
Thanks!

You can rent guns and shoot them at Indy Trading Post. Good guys there will help you choose something that fits.
9mm will cost you between 20-25 cents per round for range ammo. 40cal more like 30-35 cents per round. Go with a 9mm and save some money.
The 9mm's I have tried recently and liked...
What he said!
Or, the NATO-approved CZ75 P-01. The testing that pistol had to endure and keep functioning would turn most consumer-grade pistols into paperweights. CZ-USA -> CZ P-01 gets NATO approval. The next Generation of perfect pistols

Search for the thread called "My first Ruger... My last Ruger" which details the problems I had with my sr9c and how Ruger responded.
Even with all of the problems, I am convinced that I got a "lemon" which can happen to any manufacturer. Ruger responded pretty well and ended up...
Final solution...
Ruger finally sent me a brand new replacement for the problematic sr9c. I sold it NIB the same day it arrived and bought myself a CZ75 P-01 as a replacement. Couldn't be happier. The CZ has had lots of rounds through it with not a single failure of any sort with everything...
I know Ruger makes great guns in general, but this one was a real lemon and I've heard of a few other sr9c's that have not been up to snuff.
I still like Ruger and will buy myself a Mark III someday, but for now I'm gonna sell the replacement NIB and buy another brand of 9mm.
No... I write just fine, thank you:-)
Also, I don't limp-wrist when I shoot. It's just a "lemon". A few friends of mine have had the same problem with the gun.
Update on the "Lemon" Ruger sr9c...
I sent the gun back to Ruger a second time... this time for the replacement they offered me (twice). They sent the same gun back saying there is nothing wrong with it. They also promised me 2 magazines as an apology for the scratches they put on my trigger...
