      1911 -still the best?

      I agree, I have nothing but respect for the 1911, but modern materials and designs allow for the same firepower in a lighter more durable platform with greater capacity.

      High Point ....not for me

      +1 for the carbine, I have a 995ts and it is everyone's favorite gun of mine to shoot, never any jams or misfires. As for a Hi-point in a SD situation, I wouldn't buy one for that purpose. But to each their own.
