Who here Ebays? I've got a couple questions

I have been ebaying since Jan. 2001. I personally do not purchase items outside the US. I don't sell much anymore, but usually only ship to US. In the past I have sent items to the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Japan, and South Korea with no problem. I usually base my decision on the...

Bug-In equipment and supplies (photo rich)

I dry canned flour this year in half-gallon jars, about 50#. I have two freezers, but space is still limited. Usually, I keep a mix - some frozen and some canned, then if I can no longer keep the freezer, I still have stores. I just purchased a bunch of leftover Halloween candy today at 75%...

      Sale on pressure canners

Good Point! These canners are a lifetime investment. My MIL had one she used for many decades(not sure how many, but she had it when I married and that was 32+ years ago). Unfortunately, I did not get hers when she passed.:( My only suggestion would be; watch the shipping carefully on these...

      Sale on pressure canners

I can everything in my pressure canner. For items that get too soft, I simply take the canner to 5# pressure, turn off the heat , and then let cool before opening. Works great for fruit.

Bug-In equipment and supplies (photo rich)

Nice setup! Something I have recently added (had never thought about before) - chocolate chips, candy, or other morale boosters. I vacuum pack them in canning jars with my foodsaver. Also, have some in the freezer.

What are your favorite venison recipes?

I make a breakfast sausage with venison, ground pork, salt, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. My family loves this and it is a nice change from more traditional sage sausage.

      Which vacuum sealer?

I just finished taking care of two deer and a pig. I have a foodsaver v2420, which I have had for quite a while. Have been very happy with it. I also use the canning jar sealer accessories that go with it. No complaints so far. I have 'canned' noodles, brown sugar, chocolate chips - that...

      Women want style...

I do not love purses, but the issues I have had to deal with as a pre-menopausal woman required a little something more than a wallet in my pocket. I carry a Roma gun bag, that I like alot. It is not too big. I carry cross body and hold the strap, at the ring, in my left hand. That stabilizes...

Always prepare with a little cash on-hand

I vacuum pack cash as well. I have small stashes in different places around the house. In addition to the safe I have put some in our freezers - as fire protection. My husband thinks I am a little crazy. He WILL thank me one day!

Anyone else's kids turn them into a computer expert?

I chuckled when I read your post. My boys were there in the WIN98 days. I learned alot quickly, because I could not afford to hire someone every time(read daily) I needed something fixed. :):

      New adventure

Here it is! Here is my finished bacon - round one. Very happy with results. Maybe a little too salty; will wash longer next time. Delicious though!:): I am going to try a brine for the next round.

Any daily migraine sufferers on here?

Have you ever seen an ENT doc? This could be allergy related. It sounds like what I experienced after my second son was born. I thought I had a sinus infection but, found out my sinuses were just incredibly swollen. I had pain and pressure in my head. It felt like someone was actually sitting...
