      Early jump on reloading

Well, I picked up a RCBS tumbler for only 50$! I will get my brass tumbled here after they dry (at least 48hours). It had some media in it already, not sure what kind. Very small brown material. Also, the same person has a RCBS turret style press. Any idea what is way to much for it. Keep...

Hey that's great advice about pet litter. What reloader are you running?

I carry a Glock now. Does that make me a bad person?

Whats important is you carry what feels comfortable and you can shoot well. Its not so much what looks good and what other people like better, its what you can use efficiently. Glock is a great pistol in all of its own. Its lightweight, high cap, super durable, and accurate. With a price...

      First 1911.

I am personally not a kimber fan. My personal experience they have alot of problems from the factory. I will say, they are accurate, and very accurate. Really, we need to know what your budget is to recommend you a 1911. Anything 600 under I would get a RIA, American Classic, SA GI's, or...

      Early jump on reloading

I washed around 600 pieces of brass today and have them drying on a pizza rack. I will probably be picking up either a lymans or RCBS tumbler and some manuals here this friday or sooner. As for the actual reloader I have been doing some research. I don't think a full blown progressive is...

I was under the impression you tumbled it with a closed top, then you dumped it with a slotted top. And I have heard of a lot of people putting dryer sheets in with the tumbler? Any truth to that?

      Early jump on reloading

Ill probably pick up a manual when I get a tumbler and some calipers and some other equipment. I will probably have close to 2-3k misc brass already cleaned before I pick up the reloader. Thanks for all the information guys!

I thought the slotted top was for when you dump your media out, its almost like a pre separator?

      Early jump on reloading

Ok thanks. So ill go ahead and wash them all up tonight, them tumble them soon as I pick one up. I've got tons of free time, so the extra step of washing them wont hurt anything. I guess I didn't completely realize that the machine de-primed the casing as well. Ill check out the lyman...

I posted a link to what I thought I might need. Ergo-prime - Lee Precision I am actually looking for some more information on it. I have a lot of free time, but not enough funds to buy the reloading kit. I can get most of the supply's and other equipment now though.

I am not sure. I guess the hear-say was basically during the hours of light. Sorry for any mis-information. Its a great range with a sporting clay range, dual pistol range, 4 50 yard ranges, and 2 100 yard ranges. All the brass left over is down and left on the ground. Anyways, is that the...

So I need to pick up one of these? http://leeprecision.com/ergo-prime.html Also, how to clean the pocket? Or will the pocket get cleaned when I clean all the brass?

Tri-County around north webster area. Also Warsaw Gun Club allows you to pick up your brass and others (I always ask people first). I believe that the clubs would actually come out maybe once a week and pick it up. Tri-County is an outdoor range open 7 days a week from Dusk-Dawn, and the...

So do I need to deprime then clean? Or can I clean all the brass first then deprime them whenever? I don't have any actual equipment yet, but I am willing to buy some of the smaller tools needed to get a little bit of a head start

      Early jump on reloading

I plan on reloading in the near future. I have been saving up quite a bit of brass (around 500-1000 rounds of 9mm, .40, .45 and about 200 of 308s.) I went to the range last night and picked up over 1400 rounds of brass on the floor! What a gold mine. Since I am starting to accumulate the...
