However, I only did it that way to appear to be making a "quality" post. In the future, I'll take better advantage of those opportunities. It occurs to me that JetGirl was doing me a favor and I'm afraid I appeared ungrateful. Sorry.
OK, Jetgirl....you've got me laughing out loud. I'll answer those in one post, thereby proving that I'm interested only in quality posts.
My gun store is Bass and Bucks. Glenn and Sheila are great in all respects.
I own handguns, rifles, and shotguns, like 'em all, each to its own purpose...
Nakinate--Yes, you are correct. This time, at least, I did come only for the classifieds. In times past, although mostly a lurker, I came to glean information from those better informed than I.
Birds Away--Thank you for a well-reasoned and intelligent reply. I think I better understand the...
Thanks for the advice. I expect it's mostly well-intentioned, but I don't think I'm going to take it. Here's why:
I have read your rules and FAQs now, and I think they must have been written by a Philadelphia lawyer on steroids. I'll bet most 50-post members of INGO, such as the one giving...
USMC-Johnson--Thanks for your kind offer, but the gun I wanted has been sold. I tried to reply to your PM, but again, couldn't do so because i don't have enough posts.
Steve
I have been a member of INGO for several years, but have posted only 19 times. I saw a handgun in the INGO classifieds and have tried to respond, PM, email, and every time I'm disallowed..told I don't have enough posts. Is there any way I can contact this man to let him know I'd like to buy...
I was told recently by a local gun dealer (who admittedly has a vested interest in this question) that FTF purchases are illegal. As one who owns several guns purchased FTF, this is naturally a concern.
Can someone please verify or debunk this for me?
Thanks,

Are you all aware of Governor Daniels' gutsy piece in the Wall Street Journal on May 15th? If not, here's a link: Indiana Says 'No Thanks' to Cap and Trade - WSJ.com
I hereby forgive him for closing license branches, messing with the time, and leasing the toll road. It will be interesting to...
Thanks, Joe. That helps.
BShaw: I'm interested and will begin driving to Kokomo regularly soon for church-related meetings. FTF would be possible for me. I recently received my LTCH. Let me know what your schedule is like.
Steve
I'm a handgun novice, so please forgive my ignorance. I know about 9 mm, but what is a 9 X 18 mm? Where is Makarov manufactured? Is ammunition available?
Thanks,
Steve in Wabash
Someone called in to the Glenn Beck Show today and said that the ammo manufacturers have been ordered to make ammo only for military and police and none for private use. Glenn Beck replied with something like, "See, I told you a year ago something like this would happen."
Now I'm a neophyte...
I don't think I've ever fired one of my guns without cleaning it afterward. I change oil in my vehicles every 3000 miles, too, and drive them 200,000 miles. It's all part of the same thing--care of, because of respect for, good machinery.
