Ok, so to replace the A2 fixed stock on my rifle, I need to remove the stock and buffer tube and replace them both? Is that right?
I'm looking to put one of those magpul jobs on my rifle. Just want to be sure I get the right bits and pieces that will work on a rifle rather than a carbine.
Got my very own scary black rifle today. :rockwoot:
An almost brand new DPMS AR15 20" with A2 upper, quad rails and a chinzy red dot. :)
I can feel the fever coming on already. First things first is to swap out the standard fixed stock and put on one of those fancy Magpul jobs.
Next is about...
Being from ol' Mother England originally, my first rifle was my issue SA80 with SUSAT.
Then again it wasn't really mine.
So my first very own rifle would be the Mosin M44 that my father in law got me when I moved here.
So I popped into Indy Trading Post today with my wife in tow.
I'd been going on about getting an AR for a while and finally felt that it was about time I just bit the bullet and got one.
Hanging on the wall was a number of different ARs.
I had originally was on a research mission, hence why...
Bumping an old thread. Wondered if this happened or not.
I have a plain Jane Saiga 12 that needs some love.
I just don't have the tools or knowledge to pull of a conversion. So any help would be great. If someone wants to help with some of the smithing, I'll supply the brewskis. :)
Is there a list of INGO FFL holders who are willing to do transfers?
I'd prefer to work with individuals, particularly if they're close to Fishers.
For some reason I feel weird going to a firearms dealer and asking them to handle a transfer of a firearm they carry and have sitting on their...
How are the S&W M&P15 ARs? The CDNN prices seem too good to be true.
The optic ready version sounds like a good basis for SHTF gun. Then again I would like to be assured that a weapon like that is reliable and with so many armorers pumping out AR based weapons it's difficult to spot the...
I'm currently in the same boat as I have black rifle disease pretty bad.
I notice many of the manufacturers offer 1:9 twist barrels as opposed to 1:7.
Does this make a huge difference in shooting the more commonly available rounds?
I'm having a tough enough time justifying this project to the...
Yeah I have a threaded muzzle on mine, so I would have to change another part to be compliant. I guess I could swap the gas puck as a quick fix, but where's the fun in that? lol
As for a full conversion, are their any recommended smiths to do the work? I know there are kits for the DIYers out...
Not to hijack this thread, but I'm also a new proud owner of a Saiga 12. I'm looking at getting it 922 compliant to enjoy the larger mags/drums.
However I'm still not 100% convinced a full conversion is needed. From what I understand replacing the magazine counts for 3 parts. Thus one would only...
I'm surprised this happened in Fishers. Although from my experience living in Fishers, people tend to be a bit more lazy when it comes to security. Not saying that applies to this situation, however I could imagine more events like this happening in Fishers aka Stepford.
