What rifle?
The lower rings should be fine. You said 1/4" clearance at the objective lens, I assume.
I like to mount scopes as close to the bore as possible.
On an AR platform it is possible to get a scope to low. So low that your eye is difficult to align through the optic..
You have figured out 700X, pretty much just will not measure well.
I have used it in .45 Auto. If I remember correctly, it is a bit dirty. But that may have been light loads only.
I found some videos for F150's. I am sure changes are made for different years and other models.

How to start truck with dead battery in key FOB (Ford Intelligent Access)...
Another question for push to start vehicles.
If the battery under the hood is dead how can the transmission be shifted to neutral?
Also, if the parking brake is an electrical switch, not a mechanical linkage, how can the brake be released when car battery dies?
Mechtech makes a carbine conversion for 1911 and Glock pistols. I think they have 10mm.
An alternative to Hipoint. I have never had my hands on one. So, can not comment on how good or bad they are.

A few years ago I placed an order with Brownells. A confirmation email I received did not reflect the price as advertised. I emailed them and the price was promptly corrected.
Have continued to order items from them since, no issues.

Findlay is an easy drive from Fort Wayne. About 1.5 or 2 hours. Beside Jaquas, Buffalo Trading Company is only a mile or two to the east (a bit nicer gun shop). TNT is on the south side of town just off I75. And if you are in Ottawa Ohio be sure to stop at Cherry's (on US 224). Might as well go...
I have mowed with a Country Clipper 60" for 7 years.
3 features Country Clipper has that most other, if not all other Zero turn do NOT have are,
1. Joy stick control. One hand steering.
2. Front axle pivots in the center. This helps keep all 4 tires on the ground on uneven lawns and side...
Agree with avoiding Remington.
I had a 700 that was recalled. It had X mark trigger. Never sent the gun in. I replaced the factory trigger with a Timney.

Gen 4 comes with 3 mags new. Gen 3, only 2 I believe. Also, as mentioned the Gen 4 has grip size that can be changed.
I would buy the best deal you can find, or both generations + a 17, 17L, 26, and 34 (all 9mm).
I have been loading wadcutters in .357. Really like them, thanks for sharing your info.
I can confirm your thoughts of Titegroup. I find it to have a snappy recoil in 9mm. And lead bullets do not work well with this powder for me.
