      I purchased a BSA Sweet 22 3-9x40. I am quite happy with it for a cheap plinker scope. It has an exposed elevation turret. There is 3 different turrets that come with it according to the weight bullet (36, 38 and 40) you are shooting. It has markings on the turrets ranging from 50 yards-175...

      ^ very true I forgot to be exactly specific and ask what type of breaker he has. Any how.... get it fixed soon.. whether on your own or by a professional. The thermal was a good option. My father does that sort of deal with his FLIR Thermal Imager. It can be quicker than some methods.

      If the breaker was half tripped... replace it. They should be either on or off with nothing in between.

      I did not see any reference as to fitting into an AR type magazine or overall length of any of them. :yesway:I did find pictures of the Hornady rounds being used in an AR at a match,after I dug through Hornady's website. None of the rounds in the direct links would be suitable for hunting...

      Can you send me a link with factory specs for this weight bullet fitting into an AR magazine and feeding properly in this configuration? I am sure there is something, but I would like to see it. About the largest I have found, that will fit it the 69gr SMK loaded to SAAMI specs.

      Ok... That somewhat narrows it down. vette has you covered on optics downzero got you away from the 300 (downzero I dont recommend the 9mm Luger either lol) You are not going to be reloading in the immediate future. Now, one last question... or so I think Do you plan to hunt with...

      A portion of that question depends on if you reload or not..... Another portion depends on how far you want to be able to shoot accurately..... Another portion depends on the performance that you want throughout the entire range (muzzle to target) an example would be shooting in the wind...

      I apologize, you are correct. I tied the 2 together.;) Handguns, other than muzzleloading, must have a barrel at least 4 inches long and must fire a bullet of .243-inch diameter or larger. The handgun cartridge case, without the bullet, must be at least 1.16 inches long. Full metal-jacketed...
