I checked one out when I bought my Springfield Milspec, but the only place I could find one was Gander Mountain (home of the retail price and we're proud of everything we have store) they would'nt come off the $599 price so I let someone else have it.       I suggest taking the never been fired Springfield to a range and putting some lead down range with it before you make up your mind on something else.

      You might try this instead - MidwayUSA - Swenson Grip Bushing Staker 1911 but I think Springfield might honor the warranty anyway I'd call them.

      I think he would carry a 1911 since John Browning is around to build him a super custom one in person. I think he would open carry, but we still wouldn't see it if it were right in front of us. Probably to bust a cap in Satan's rear every now and then.
