A few weeks back I ordered a couple of Tula, Hex Receiver Mosins from Classic Arms. This is how everything looked straight out of the box. I'm very pleased! Especially after I came from Cabela's this morning and saw the chewed up tomato stake they had on the rack for $149.00. These rifles are beautiful! Both are Tula manufactured Hex Receiver guns. One is a 1931 date, the other is a 1936. Both actions work very slick! If you're looking for a nice Mosin for the price, Classic Arms is the way to go. As you can see, even the bayonets and accessories are in mint condition. Bill T.

I also have two of them. Got one of them at an auction for only $70.00 (with bayonet and all accessories). I love having a high quality rifle that I can get dirt cheap ammo for. Imagine shooting a 30-06 class round for 20 cents. The primers of the surplus ammo are corrosive, but that just means that you should clean the rifle immediately after shooting for maximum bore life.

Very nice Tula's. I am into Mosins as well. I have a 1943 Izzy that is a little rough around the edges but it's still an accurate shooter with a good bore. My second is a 1939 Izzy that is in a lot nicer shape then my first. But I haven't fired it yet because of it. :D

Thanks for the heads up on the hex head's though, I have been wanting to get one.:D

    2cool9031,
tell me about that bolt handle on those two modified ones
    Code:

I am a machinist by trade and they were designed by me...The one with the flashhider has a 17 5/8" barrel, the one without the scope has a 18' barrel and the one at the top is the full length 91/30.
They all started out as 91/30's.
All three have the bolt handle I made....they all have been drilled and tapped for an ATI scope mount.
I just decided to make something different...and if I messed up I wouldn't be out that much money. There was a little machining involved and careful drilling and tapping.

I like the look of that scope on the top pic. What brand is it? Been looking for a good scope for my mosin.
    Code:

There are three different rifles there...2 are cut down and the top one isn't. The scopes are BSA scopes....3x-9x-40mm I bought them from natchez shooters supplies.

    Does a bear poop in the woods? Heck yeah I like Mosins. Have two ex-sniper 91/30's, 1 1955 Rommy M44, 1 VKT M91 & a B barrel M39.

Hey Billt what's in the black pouch? I've never seen that accessory before with a MN.

Thanks for the post Billt. Studying Classicarms now.

They are excellent to deal with. I don't like recommending places or people, but these guys I have zero problem recommending to anyone. They have good stuff, and ship promptly, and they're stuff is exactly as advertised. You won't be disappointed. Also, all of their Mosins come with a full accessory package. Bill T.

It has all kinds of tools. Some of which I've never seen before. I'll try and take them out of the pouch and show them. Perhaps someone will know. Bill T.

Should be a disassemble and maintenance set of tools. There should also be a tool for opening the spam ammo cans.
