NSA whistleblower says ALL email and digital communication is being collected and stored, just in case you become an enemy of the state. Which begs the question... What did Patreaus really do to fall out of favor?

Well of course it is. The government has been spying on its citizens for decades.

My only question is why they felt the need to actually make it legal, through the Pat Act and NDAA?

Not like the CIA needs congressional approval to disappear someone.

I am sure if you get a string of key words in any email or blog you will be pinged...I would bet that like the people who listen to phone calls, there is a warehouse full of people looking at emails and such that are suspect. We have no privacy when it comes to the internet...we will have to go back to the days of secret meetings and people who like Paul Revere who will spread the word.
