812 area code is Southern Indiana...not sure where around here a person could buy a $500 Hi-point, even at the peak of the gun craze. Most gunshops were probably charging in the high $200's, tops, and still making double the profit.

My bet is he picked it up a gunshow or in a private sale if in fact he did pay $500....but more than likely he is trying to sucker someone...

I thought I wanted one until I picked one up at the 1500 and realized how darn heavy it was...Haven't shot one yet, but I certainly couldn't see it as a carry weapon.

Ya ive got this awesome tactical AR-15 ill let go for the bargain price of 3.5k. Ill even include 20 rounds of ammo and 2 soon to be illegal 30rd mags. Hurry and buy it right now, Obama is going to ban them tomorrow and then the price will probably double.
