I just made reference to this in the other thread....

Aren't you on vacation?
Yeah this one looks more cut and dried than Baton Rouge, not that these things are ever fully understood in the first 48hrs or so.
No not yet, still trying to heal up. Oh BTW, we will have to do that Indy 11 thing.
Apparently, the driver informed the officer he had a firearm. The is no duty to inform. Officer is referred to as "Chinese" by girlfriend, but give how ignorant people are about such things, he's probably simply Asian.
The video doesn't show jack ****. Awaiting further evidence that this was in any way a "bad shoot." Reaching for something after a officer tells you not to is what will get you shot.

Sometimes, reaching for something the officer asked for gets you shot, too.
What????? This is 100% enough evidence to convict this officer..... Do I NEED purple? The video doesn't show jack ****. Awaiting further evidence that this was in any way a "bad shoot." Reaching for something after a officer tells you not to is what will get you shot.

Next, though, there've been anecdotal situations over the years that have been troubling. This is not a "cops bad" post. Rather, a recognition that mistakes are made.
Heck, in my time at Carmel there was a dangerous situation created when an officer's lights weren't working because of an electrical issue. He didn't know it, so when a driver didn't pull over, he thought she was evading. She finally gets to work, he pulls in behind her, gun drawn. She complied (thank God) because she spoke English, understood what the officer was asking her to do, and remained calm enough in an incredibly stressful situation to comply. A couple of those variables change, and the outcome could've been tragic.
The whole situation sucked from start to finish.
That is how it appears.Poor guy. The man was a licensed to carry a firearm, informed the officer he was carrying, and went for his wallet like the officer asked. Officer got scared and shot him.
