This is why people that aren't patient shouldn't use a .22 for squirrel hunting. Stick with a shotgun if you can't wait for the squirrel to move where you have the tree as a backstop. I know I am making some assumptions here.

So click "report post" and type in "wrong section". No need to off topic a post.

Be careful out there peeps. Orange isn't required per se, but I would still think about a hat ;)

And this is shooting sports related how......

INGO has a separate sub forum for hunting: The Great Outdoors

This sub forum is not for hunting accidents...

Who cares? It's firearms related, no? If it bugs you that much report it so the mods can decide whether it's in the appropriate subforum or not.

I hope everyone involved learns a valuable lesson from this.

Say what you want about Dick Cheney, at least he has the common decency to shoot his friends in the face and not in the back of the head like a coward.

An Evansville man is lucky to be alive after a hunting accident. <Headline
Edwards was not seriously hurt and didn't need to go to the hospital. <Last sentence

A VERY big difference between the headline and the last sentence of the story(?). This slants the article towards the anti-gunners.
I always thought when writing news stories for a paper you were supposed to be impartial. Maybe this 'writer' is still in broadcasting school.
