    So if any of you were driving through IL to say Missouri. With the bill that just passed would you carry in the car,keep it put up????Not take it?

    There is nothing even before this bill that would not allow you to transport your gun through IL. Assuming you are allowed to have a gun in the first place and all the regular stuff like that. Also that you are following the transport laws as IL had them.

    I am in IL right now and I have a gun in my car.

    I recently drove through IL on my way to Denver. To be legal the gun must be in a case and unloaded, ammo can be stored in the same case. I just put my Sig in a nanovault with a loaded mag next to it, locked it and left the key in and put it in front of my seat. It only takes a few seconds to have the gun out and loaded, probably quicker that trying to draw from IWB holster seated.

    Sorry but this information is incorrect if you have a license from your state to carry.
