    Do you mean to make it for yourself or go somewhere to eat ? On the make it yourself side, I've always been fond of Carroll Shelby's mix with a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar tossed in. Mudflap Jones, (a local Indy mix) isn't bad, but it is a bit sweet. If you're going out for chili, can't really help you. The only places around I can think of are Cinci style chili's and I can't stand them, personally.

    Agreed....never understood the attraction to cincy style chili.

    Venison, hamburger and cubed top round with navy and kidney beans. Throw in some hungarian peppers and cerranos from the garden with a beer and coffee.

    This serves 12-14.

    4 teaspoons oil
    4 onions, chopped
    6 cloves garlic, minced
    2 lbs lean ground beef
    1 1/2 lbs beef sirloin, cubed
    1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes
    2 cans dark beer
    2 cups strong coffee
    2 (12 ounce) cans tomato paste
    2 cans beef broth
    1 cup brown sugar
    7 tablespoons chili sauce
    2 tablespoons cumin
    2 tablespoons cocoa
    2 teaspoons oregano
    2 teaspoons cayenne
    2 teaspoons coriander
    2 teaspoons salt
    4 (30 ounce) cans kidney beans
    8 chili peppers, chopped

    Directions:
    1. Heat oil.
    2. Cook onions, garlic and meat until brown.
    3. Add tomatoes, beer, coffee, tomato paste and beef broth.
    4. Add spices Stir in 2 cans of kidney beans and peppers.
    5. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
    6. Add 2 remaining cans of kidney beans and simmer for another 30 minutes.
