    That's great to see. I grew up not too far from there, and there were no eagles around that I ever saw.(but that was 40 yrs. ago) They are nesting around here near Lake Monroe too. Neat birds!! :yesway:

    I was shown a place where bald eagles were nesting in the country within 10 miles of Lafayette back in 2001 or so.

    Was sworn to secrecy about the location at the time.

    Those that have been lucky enough to see them in the wild will definitely attest to their majestic splendor. I saw one a few years back and had the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Definitely a beautiful animal, and a wonderful national symbol for our country! :patriot:

    I was shown a place where bald eagles were nesting in the country within 10 miles of Lafayette back in 2001 or so.

    I have seen eagle pairs (I assume male and female) in downtown Lafayette since the late '90s.

    Seven or eight years ago an eagle hit a seagull in front of my SUV. It was a very impressive sight.:n00b:
