I'll admit it.... I like doing research, especially reading actual accounts from those who own what I'm in the market to buy. Also, I like organization. Yeah, I'm weird, but that's a side issue. That being said, I had a thought for a holster thread, a place where everyone can post what holster they have, what they carry in it, and their thoughts about it.

To keep the thread more organized (see my OCD above), I'd like to provide this template that you can use. Hopefully if we get enough people to use this thread, it will become a great resource for those looking to buy a new holster.

Type of Holster (IWB, OWB, Shoulder): Paddle Holster

Website (if available): G-CODE Holsters and Accessories

How long have you owned it: 1.5 years

How often you carry: Haven't carried this yet, just have it for the range.

Type of carry (Open or Concealed): N/A -- see above

General Impressions of the holster: It fits my CZ well, and hangs on my belt well. I've only had it on while at my local range, so I don't have a lot of experience with it. It looks well made though.

General Impressions of the holster: The holster is well made. The fit is very tight on the pistol and I worked on the fit quite a while before I was confident I could carry and draw in an emergency situation; with speed. It requires work and for safety I don't recommend this holster be used unless you have worked with it, ensuring it will not 'catch' the pistol.
I wear it under a suit to church, out on the town under loose clothes-- belt and tucked shirt and it disappears.

General Impressions of the holster: Great holster if you don't need a tuckable. Easy to put on and take off, enough friction to hold the gun securely in place. Needs broken in when new, use a little of their leather treatment junk and leave the gun holstered for a couple days.

Type of Holster: Can be carried IWB or OWB, I usually carry IWB

Website: Raven Concealment Systems - Holsters

How long have you owned it: About 10 months (I think)

    What you carry: M&P 9c

How often you carry: Most of the time. There are times when I just have my LCP.

Type of carry (Open or Concealed): Concealed

General Impressions of the holster: I love it. I have tried many holsters, including the MTAC from Comp-Tac and all leather IWB holsters such as the Dakota from K&D. I have come to the conclusion that all kydex is the best (for me). All kydex IWB is slightly less comfortable than a leather holster, but the benefits are better retention, easier to clean, completely sweatproof, cannot retain moisture. You can wear a phantom all day sweating and not get any moisture on your pistol. Leather eventually gets dirt and grit inside that is difficult to get out and can scratch your weapon.

Name of Holster: RM Sport Slide

Type of Holster: Kydex OWB Paddle

    Website (if available): RMHolsters.com

How long have you owned it: ~8 years

    What you carry: Glock 26/27, 19/23, 17, 34

    How often you carry: Regularly

Type of carry (Open or Concealed): Either, but generally open

General Impressions of the holster: The Sport Slide is formed from a single sheet of .090" thick Kydex, smooth inside with a slightly pebbled exterior texture. The holster body is an open-muzzle design and is molded to the gun with a high level of detail to facilitate weapon retention. Additional security is provided by two stainless steel tension-adjustment screws along the back edge of the holster. A "speed cut" in the front allows for extremely smooth, fast draws. The paddle is formed from the same sheet as the holster, rather than a separate piece attached by screws or rivets. It follows the contour of the holster body almost exactly, save for the forward edge which extends forward about 1/2". Rather than studs or jaws to secure the paddle to the waistband, a full-width belt channel is provided. In effect, the paddle acts as a kind of giant belt clip - a "reverse IWB", if you will. This attachment method pulls the holster very tight to the body; almost as tightly as an IWB rig. The attachment method, along with an extrem 20-degree cant, affords a degree of concealability not usually associated with paddle holsters, and this rig comes as close as I've ever felt to "I forgot I had it on" comfort.

General Impressions of the holster: I LOVE it. In a nutshell: Kydex on leather, adjustable, best bargain($45 shipped), most comfortable, and the best customer service.

This thing gets more comfortable the longer I wear it as the leather molds to my body. Even without active retention, the molded Kydex holds the Bersa even when the holster is upside down, yet draws easily.

Jimmy at Kholster is one of the best when it comes to customer service. Prompt replies, personalized service, and a great guy. HIGHLY recommended!

General Impressions of the holster: Very nice. It's custom fit for the P-01 so it fit snug. After a month of getting used to it and it softening up a bit its very comfortable, nice leather. Bob was great to deal with. My only issue is the screw that hold the straps on tend to come loose after a while and I need to use a little 2mm allen wrench to tighten them back up. I have thought about putting a little loc-tite on them but haven't been bothered by it enough.

    ps. good thread!
