    Can only afford one, but which one?BP Colt 1860 2nd Gen .44 w/box & original papers like new. Or 9mm Beretta 92fs w/ box & original papers like new. Either one will be used just for plinkling. Survey says? :)

    Really depends on how much you want to shoot. BP cap and ball is fun, but slow shooting. The 2nd gen Colt 1860 is a fine firearm, but not a historical antique. While they will get the job done, cap and ball is way behind the times as a defensive gun.

    This coming from a guy who shoots both.
