Now it's letting up. I think the worst has passed us for now, but there's another big blob heading this way. Still out west/southwest of Plainfield for now.

Crap. Looks like another downspout clogged on the west side of the deck and my bag of charcoal got wet. Going to have to transfer it to a trashbag. Started to pick it up and could feel the bottom start to tear. :(

Barb and I voted fairly early. Working on dinner currently chicken breast chunks from Sam's and roasted potatoes and fresh asparagus.. smells wonderful.
Susan just went back inside. It was getting a little chilly for her. I'm just enjoying the thunderstorms. This is the best one we've had here in awhile. Of course I don't want anyone to suffer damage, but I just love watching storms. Have since I was a kid.

Okay, funny storm story here. When I was probably around 4 or 5 years old, we were having a severe thunderstorm and Mom and I were watching it out the picture window which faces the back yard. Mom was being Mom, and figured I might be scared or something (I wasn't) so she said, "Wouldn't it be something if lightning hit the" *CRAAACK* Lightning hit this big old cherry tree we had out back before she could finish her sentence, which was going to be "cherry tree?" I just looked at her and said, "Do that again Mommy!" :):

Edit: Needless to say, after that, Mom didn't have to discipline me very often!
