the support gear for our blasters is just as important as the blasters!

what type of support gear (holsters, belts, backup systems) are you running on your carry weapons? how long did it take you to dial it in? have you gone threw the process of finding the BEST solutions for you, or did you just buy what they had at teh shop (or worse yet, on of those UNIVERSAL nylon rigs :noway:) and call it good?

pics to follow, but for about a year i have been using a RAVEN holster on a Josh Bulman 3/4" belt. the only issues with the RAVEN has been the breaking of the pancake loops. this time around the loops are 2x as thick. reports to follow.

it took me YEARS to find the most comfortable and accessable way to carry a handgun, and its an ever evolving proccess!! i don't care to think about the thousands of dollars spent on holsters and what DIDN'T work up to my expectations!

so. what is you EDC set up? mine:

    glock 19
    RAVEN holster
    Bulman belt
Strider SMF/ plus another folder of choice
    SAK soldier
surefire e2 with a Vital Gear body and Lumens Factory Bulb
    Fenix p1d

    Beretta 92FS
    Desantis Speed Scabbard
Belt and ammo pouch custom made at a local tack shop, nothing fancy, thoroughly functional
Cheap but very functional Gerber folder
Sometimes a Western boot knife I've been carrying since 1987. It opened many a can of coffee for me while doing mid-shifts as an SP
LED flashlight, until I can afford to get a new bulb and lens for my Surefire. The cheapo (4 for $13) light has proven to be surprisingly durable.

When I need better concealment than that provided by the DeSantis, I carry in a Don Hume 715 IWB holster w/ Safariland mag holder, and a 5.11 Tactical belt. I would use this belt all the time, but I've undergrown it as I lose weight :) With the Beretta IWB, for the time being I can still use the last hole on the belt.

Joe, you strap all that on daily?

If so, good for you! You're more of a man than me! :D

I don't think I could handle the extra weight. Carrying around my beer belly is enough

I carry my XDSC in a Don Hume 721OT, either OC or CC, and one extra mag in a pocket (and only sometimes at that)

I use Milt Sparks. Milt Sparks Holsters

I usually wear an Executive Companion in horsehide for the 1911 and a left handed Versa Max for the Kahr P9 bug.

When I wear it OWB I have a Milt Sparks #60TK, or a #55BN and an old Roadrunner (wish Tony would bring this design back). I have Milt Sparks belts and mag pouches as well.

I use an Alessi ankle holster for my 3rd gun (Smith J frame).

I carry the Thunder Ranch torch by Streamlight. (Although I am angry at Tiger for beating me to the market with his ring idea. I used to make them out of duct tape--curses! Foiled again:D).

    What's "all that?"
Belt, gun, holster, spare ammo, a knife or two, a min-flashlight. Not all that much. It's kind of a big gun, but other than that just the basic tools.

    There
I've been carrying my Kimber UC2 for about 10 years now in an Uncle Mike's OWB holster. I've tried a lot of different holsters and carry methods and I always come back to this one. Because of my build it is hard to CC with something like a fobus or kydex because they seem to hang off my side more. I don't mind them for OC although I still find myself using my Uncle Mike's virtually all the time.
