I really thought these were neat and wanted to share them. I hope this isn't a repost.

I live not too far away from where the third picture was taken.
It's in the Calvados Region in Normandy, France. If im not mistaken.
I wondered the same thing about Hitler and the Eiffel Tower as I saw this picture.I went right there, and of course I saw many times pictures of Hitler standing there before and I know about the history of Paris during WW2, but when I was there I never thought about walking right where Hitler was walking 65 years or so ago.
That's actually a bit creepy to have been there and to have walked in his steps.
It's interesting to see both pictures together. :yesway:

I've seen some of these before... Always fantastic to look at.

I've also been on a site where there were plenty of "before & after" photos throughout Europe and the British Isles. Those photos weren't mashed together, but posted so you could see the entirety of each photo. Fantastic!

And I can NOT find that site now to save my life. *sigh*

My grandfather has some pictures from when he was in the US Army in France in 44 and 45. My bucket list includes going to those locations that he took pictures, and taking some myself to be able to do a similar composite.
