I use copper clad Remington 22lr bulk box stuff from the local gun shop. Typically sold in boxes of 550 for about $10 to $12. It functions fine despite the statements on my conversion upper that 'high velocity' 22lr must be used.

The majority of what I use is the Federal 550rnd bulk pack from Walmart...

However, certain guns (usually semi-auto pistols) tend to really sing with the hotter stuff...like CCI Stingers and the like.

My old P22 ran just fine on the bulk pack stuff, but shooting the Stingers was just. plain. fun.

I bought some 50rnd boxes of some Federal match stuff the other day, too... I don't know how that'll run. Bought it for my CZ 452, though. SHOULD be a dime-sized-group-at-50-yards type of a gun. If I do my part. :)

So, to make a long story longer, the bulk pack stuff, any of it, should do you just fine. But you can always spend the money on the more expensive stuff should you so desire. (Some of the super match stuff can be in the 'hood of $8 for 50rds.)
