    Exhibit 1: the Echidna

Echidna - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is an egg laying mammal, like the Platypus.

Just read the part about reproduction. Go ahead.

Here's a bit that reminds me of a 2 Live Crew song....
Males will form lines up to ten individuals long, the youngest echidna trailing last, that follow the female and attempt to mate. During a mating season an echidna may switch between lines. This is known as the "train" system.

"Me and my homies like to play this game...."

    That's....interesting.

A few years ago I added a paragraph to Ray Liotta's entry about him working at an A&P in Union, NJ with my buddy when they were both in high school. 100% true....deleted in about 3 months.

Oh the hours one can waste away on Wikipedia.
    haha

Indeed. I got there legitimately, though. Was reading a Reuters report an a new study that suggests dinosaurs weren't really endothermic or ectothermic, they were somewhere in between. In the list of comparable current species was the... Echidna. Had to google it at that point. :D
