Is a shotgun shell too large to fit through the mag well? (I don't have an AR to test.) I've seen a belt fed one on YouTube but as far as I know it isn't available for sale and was still a little buggy.

I don't see much purpose in a shotgun ar upper myself. There are plenty of semi auto shotguns, most can have a pistol grip stock added if desired. Just my personal opinion of course, I would like one of the nice semi auto's one of these days.

    How about a .410 Shotgun AR-15?
    Safirarms Industrial Co.

I have a Safir arms .410 AR15 and it shoots well, if you can get it to feed that is.

Right now, it's back at ATI (importers) for warranty repairs. Less than 6 months old, but it never did feed right.

My complaint is, Safir arms will not answer emails or phone calls, and ATI is the slowest customer service on the face of the planet.

Purchased in Feb. '11 and I still don't have a working firearm.
