I bought a lever action 44mag mainly for deer hunting, but it is one of my favorite rifles to shoot. a little expenseve, but still a little cheeper than plinking with my 30/30(wich I also love).

I've been wanting a .357 lever action, my dad had one and I loved shooting that thing. Fun and accurate as hell! Just shoot one and you'll get it, trust me.

Because having a revolver and a light, handy carbine chambering the same ammo is just as versatile and practical now as it was back in 1875 when Colt first chambered the SAA in .44 WCF to pair with the Winchester 1873.

IMO, a carbine will usually about double the range at which most shooters can deliver consistently accurate 1st rd. hits compared to a handgun.

In Indiana you can use them for deer hunting now! Less mess and fuss to deal with than a muzzle loader. And you don't have to worry about the barrel and chamber turning green if you don't get it cleaned until tomorrow!:):
