I've had my current job for little more than a year, and my employer really believes that personal time is very important. With that being said, I'm off today and tomorrow unless and emergency comes up, but that wouldn't hurt my feelings too much because we would be talking BIG $$$$$$$ for me to make a run.
I left at 11:15p last night and off until 11am on te 26th. Of course I worked thanksgiving, new year's eve and new year's day but I'd rather see my kids open gifts on Christmas so it works
I work every holiday, Christmas, new years, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and every other little holiday out there. You guys want your bacon, happy and healthy don't ya. Oh and I do not get any extra holiday pay either, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I know some people at Comcast are working today. I've been having trouble with my TV and internet service for a few weeks now and they actually scheduled an appointment for today. I was planning on being home so I agreed. I kinda feel bad about having someone work but they would likely have been working somewhere else anyway if they weren't working for me.
I work tomorrow (got today off by luck of the rotation)... Then when the snow hits, Im back out for my second income... Going to be a long few days from the looks of it.
Scheduled to work but took today off. Of course, I had to log in from home and do a few work things but I just wrapped that up. Other than that, I'm on call the remainder of the week but I'm expecting it to be quiet and hopefully there are no 3AM "emergencies."
