I have a friend (that shall remain un-named) that shouldnt own a firearm due to being totally unsafe.
Evidence that demands that verdict:
1: A month or so after I met him, 1990 or so, he was showing me his "lady S&W" in his bedroom and I noticed what looked like a bullet hole through his wooden bedpost. Sure enough, when I asked him about it he told me his gun went off when he was cleaning it.
2: I was riding shotgun with him wit another of my friends in the seat behind me. he hands the back seater his pistol to "check out" 30 seconds later,My friend in the back seat hjllers "Whoa!, this things loaded!" I could have shot John (me) in the back!, to which my gun owning friend responds..."Its Ok, the safety was on."
3: We go into the gun store cause he wants to trade his PT92 for a 6-gun. Well, he hands it to the gun store owner, who exclaims a second later. "This things loaded!" to which my friend answere "Its ok, the safety is on." The owner berates him for 10 minutes until he decides to leave with his tail tucked. Fortunately, He sold it to pay a debt he owed me and now doesnt own a gun at all.
The world is a safer place.
