Today I was given the job of telling a visitor that he would have to remove his firearm, and secure it in his vehicle if he would like to remain in the building. He was very apologetic, and had his permit out when staff brought him out in the hall so I could talk with him.
I work armed security at a hospital in Indianapolis. The hospital I am at has one officer for the whole hospital. My back up is two or three blocks away in another hospital. I really wanted to tell the staff in that area, if I am on the other side of the building and some nut job starts shooting this side of the building. You would have just unarmed a person that potentially could have stopped him.
