I had, another great day at Atterbury on such a beautiful day. All I took was my Savage MKIIFV. I stayed for a couple of hours. Met a guy from Indy. He let me shoot a clip through his M1 Garand. I told him about Ingo. He said he would check it out. Todays range trip, was for some ammo testing, out of my Savage. I tested both Wolf Target Match and RWS Rifle Target. I fired three five round groups of each ammo. This was my first time, shooting match ammo out of the rifle, and my first time shooting for groups.
Setup
Rifle: Savage MKIIFV .22LR with bull barrel.
Scope: Bushnell Banner 3x9x40.
Rings: Burris
Bi-pod: Shooters Ridge 6"-9".
Group #1: Target on the left: Wolf: Target on the right: RWS
Group #2 and #3: Left targets: Wolf: Right targets: RWS
Conclusion: I shot my best groups with the Wolf. My first group was pretty good. I blew it on the second group. The third group I somewhat redeemed myself. It was me, and in no way the rifle. I'm still learning and getting better. I will get better with practice. I'm happy, considering I have never tried to shoot groups. Nor have I shot any match ammo. I learned a lot. Next, I will do the same test with my Marlin 925R.
