I chose the 45 because I really like it Seriously though, it has years and years of proven combat reliability. With a hot hollow point, it actually does a pretty good job on a white tail at archery ranges (don't ask how I know. Lets just say that not every hunter I've met is as good with a long gun as they should have been).
If I could pick twice, I'd also pick the 10mm. I've never had the chance to own or shoot one, but it's on my top 5 list of handguns to get. Unfortunately I also have a top 5 list for rifles, and I probably won't be buying any of them until the house is paid off.
