Started this thread in the 'wee' hours.... to be fair w/ all.

Here's 3 (not very easy) clues:

* It's a hot load and fast, like the .264 Roberts and .308 Win

* It's not a small bullet/cartridge.... the little 'joe' next to it (at right) in the pic...... is a .220 Russian, for comparison

* One of the best thought out designs in a large cal, but now relatively 'obsolete'

thats a rimmed cartridge this one is not.

it apears to be something that was made off a 30-06 case.
