Miss Christa didn't hesitate to go prone when she was having trouble hitting wild mustard plants with her grandpa's old school mossburg .22. And once properly supported, proceeded to pick the blooms off of the poor thing. I truly regret not just packing her and her sister up and taking them to shoots when they were younger. They're both so good.
Her BF and his buddy both had .45s. The BF had a 24/7, not even broken in yet. Very nice. The other fella had a Springfield 1911-A1. Also very nice. Stainless. Both pretty competent shooters, and pretty safety conscious. Pop was favorably impressed.
That was after a little light fishing in Grandpa's pond, and after shooting, the kid cooked up some brats for all of us. Nice afternoon.
