I went to several crowded bars last night wearing a sig sauer polo shirt. I have never had so many random interactions with people over just a shirt.
I was walking through a crowd, and just heard some guy yell "KIMBER IS BEST MOTHER @#%@#@ GUN EVER MADE", of course, I had to stop and correct him. A very attractive girl stopped me unexpectedly and told me she owned a sig in .22. Just as I was going to ask her on a shooting date, her boyfriend magically ended up in between us with his back turned to me. :dunno: ALOT of people just tapped me on the shoulder, and told me how much they liked sig, or just gave me a goofy drunk thumbs up. The bartenders mostly all approved of sig when it came time to close the tabs;). For the most part, it started a lot of conversations about guns with some really nice people, which made my night a lot more fun :rockwoot:. Even when I went to meet with my academic advisor at Purdue, he struck up a conversation about guns. I sent him to :ingo:, signed up for classes, and went on my way. The shirt turned my day from boring and quiet, to interesting and full of conversation.
    :+1:for my shirt. haha.

I would expect most to be positive as I would be surprised if the average anti-gun type would even know what a Sig was. So most of the people that would recognize the name would be gun people to at least some extent.

My Sig polo has bright blue lettering, and a picture of a semi auto on it. I have had a couple of negative comments about wearing a shirt with a gun on it. Funny thing is I have a hat with exactly the same logo on it that I wear much more often, and I have never gotten a negative comment on that. I guess my face is so ugly, people do not look at my head.

Just like wearing Jeff Gordon or NY Yankees gear. People have favorites, and they want to identify themselves as part of your world. Signaling was part of the reason you wore the shirt, after all.

An exercise in sociology, huh? Well, an interesting one, anyway.
Whispered voice, like on tv golf.... "Now, this poster signals that he approves of the original poster's shirt, and his post, thereby identifying himself as part of the OPs peer group, and giving the OP acceptance.."

    SIGS RULE, DUDE!

    Good karma to ya, anyhoo...

I'm surprised someone didn't come up and sucker punch you. :):

I thought about it since he abandoned his Glock roots, but I had a drunk girlfriend that he helped me track down, so I let it slide.

Although the mangina text I got later from him might be reason enough to punch him next time I see him.

I did not abandon the glock roots... I still have "hell naw", and i absolutely deserve to be punched for that text.

An astute point. I recall seeing one of those "buy a new house" shows on TLC a while back and being surprised that even though the network tends to blur most logos on people's shirts, there was one guy rocking a long sleeve shirt with the Beretta trident in plain view. It was even more surprising knowing the general political bent of that network. I guess the editors didn't know what it was so they didn't bother to censor it, or else they were Beretta fanboys themselves
