Visiting Indy

My wife and I will be in Indianapolis for a swim meet this month. The meet is being held at the IUPUI Natatorium. I have some Holiday Inn rewards points for a free hotel night. I was looking at this hotel....

Can anyone tell me about the area of town that this is in? It is fairly close to the natatorium. Thanks for the info ingo.

Good place to stay and right next to Lucas Oil Stadium. The southwest side (south of South Street) of downtown is more of a manufacturing district, but you are within walking distance of all the shops/restaurants in downtown Indy.

I'm safety conscious, and I would feel safe staying there...without a doubt.

I would just make sure to look at a Colts schedule and ensure the Colts aren't in town...might make your traffic situation a nightmare going to/coming from the hotel.
