Verizon Phone Question

I just sold my iPhone on eBay. I'm going to use an upgrade to get a new phone from Verizon.

Do I need to remove my SIM card before I ship it?

Verizon doesn't use SIM cards but if your old phone has one, I would remove it.

The iPhones and many smart phones use SIM cards on Verizon. No flip phones use them though.

Verizon should send a new sim with your new phone, but there can be contacts and other stuff on the card. Remove it before shipping.

They will give him a new sim when he activates it.

Yes, definitely remove it. It stores info and data on the card. The new owner will have to get a new one anyway. Also, if you've been using iCloud services you'll need to remove that phone from your machines and deauthorise them. Also remove it from Find My iPhone.

Suggestion: do a factory reset of your phone to clear all memory. Not all data is on a SIM card. Depends on the phone.

Verizon iPhone 4 and 4s don't have SIM cards but the iPhone 5 sure does

The Verizon 4s DOES have a SIM. When I leave the country I replace it with a foreign SIM.

Look for a little hole in the side. Stick the end of a paper clip in there.
