Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced the Silencers Helping Us Save Hearing (SHUSH) Act yesterday, a legislative proposal aimed at reducing federal regulation of firearm suppressors. The bill is designed to simplify the purchase process for law-abiding citizens and eliminate bureaucratic hurdles. Senate cosponsors include Senators Rick Scott (R-FL), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and John Cornyn (R-TX).

Europe, that bastion of gun-freedom, is way ahead of us in this area.

In before “they are just grandstanding”. :lmfao:

Seriously, this is how it is done, May not pass now but, just as we have watched the left for years, they keep trying and actually normalize what they want to pass.

Like Trump's plan to not tax social security for retirees?
If one is against this they are for double taxation? The involuntary contributions are paid AFTER tax. So the workers paid tax on the contributions and pay tax when they get it back. SS was not taxed until Regan and Greenspan worked it up and got it passed.

Um…they tried this when the “pro gun” house and senate were “in charge” and the “pro gun” president was in the “seat”…they had 2 years and it barely made it to a committee hearing and nowhere after that
When Republicans had control over everything, they did exactly nothing. Only times either party does or wants to pass something is when they dont have control over both chambers.

I remember pre-Trump that Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and there was another guy, they were referred to as the 4 horsemen. They were the actual conservatives in the Senate. We all dreamed of the day that one of them might run for President. Of course then it was revealed that Cruz’s dad killed JFK and all of them were insufficiently dedicated to Trump. So we didn’t like any of them any more. Are they making a comeback?

Cruz maybe. I think he's bent the knee quite deeply and frequently since 2020.

I think you are off on a tangent. Maybe I wasn't clear.

Attach the gun stuff to repealing SS taxation.

And this ^^^^ is what still infuriates the s*** out of me. It is part of what reinforced my commitment to only vote for constitutionalist candidates.
