I met a fellow INGO member at GM at County Line and 65S today and after we were finished talking I went inside to look around. Saw some interesting used guns there.
Colt National Match .45, had a couple parts that looked funny on it but overall looked nice, $1495
Colt Delta Elite, blue, looked very clean, $899
Several Colt and High Standard .22 autos, including an HD Military and Woodsman Target Model. Looked like some old dude, like me, brought his collection in.
HK PSP 9mm, looked like most German trade ins, $699
Walther PPK, Pre 68 with brown plastic grips and mag bottom, looked reblued and had some more rusty spots coming out, $550
Some older S&W revolers, couldn't tell what they were b/c tags were upside down and muzzles pointed the other direction.

I would have liked to look at a couple of them but couldn't get anyone to help me. One guy was writing up a sale and the other looked as if he was "Just keepin busy" so after 10 minutes of standing there I left.

The car club I'm in has a "Spotted Thread" where we post the cool cars we see out and about. Might work here for guns we see that might interest other members, if it doesn't already exist and I'm to dumb to know about it that is. :D

they hire the dumbest most unfriendly people. they dont even merchandise their shelves and clean them up. i can go in there 2 weeks later and the same stuff is unpriced and other stuff is off the hangers in the same spot on the bottom shelf laying. if i was coorporate i would fire all the store management and then start fresh, with employee firings coming later if they didnt shape up.

same story i always see and hear first hand: I waited 10 minutes or more with no help, and no one even said hi. meanwhile employees are constantly walking past you. I personaly have waited over 20 minutes at the store in greenwood without even a hello, at the gun counter. and if im there it means i have cash in my pocket. they have lost a lot of money from me personaly, so i cant imagine the money total from everyone they lose.

I bet if they got a good management team they would see a 20% sales increase in the first month, and then it would keep rising. one of the poorest run companies ive ever seen.

its different at dicks. they just dont have any employees to help you, lol.

I wouldn't mind trying to get a job there just to get the deals. Well, plus I NEED A JOB!! But anyways I really would have liked to have seen a couple things or at least have been acknowledged. I can understand if someone is busy and I need to wait, I don't mind, gives me more time to look. But when one guy is working and the other guy is trying to "Look" as if he is working I call BS! Even if they were both working someone should have said "we'll be with you as soon as we can" or something!

All of you people who swear you'll never set foot in a Gander Mountain either A) initially, or B) ever again...

I thank you. I thank you from the bottom of my oogity boogity shoe. Seriously.

That means that when there ARE deals (And I admit, they're rare) that you don't get them and I CAN.

Ruger .357 revolver: way less than market, LNIB
1st Gen Walther P99 9mm AS: way less than market, LNIB
1st Gen Walther P99 .40SW AS: way less than market, LNIB
    Marlin Model 60, NIB, $129
    H&R 926 .22 revolver: $120-ish; sold for $340-ish on Gunbroker
NIB (but still "used") G17 for $429

Buddy got a LNIB Walther P22 for $225 a few years ago

    Saw a H&K P7M8 mismarked as a P7...someone got that for $699.

So, PLEASE don't go to Gander Mountain. Please!

oh ill go there and find deals if they have them. i have found some and thats when i buy. but theyre people still SUCK as workers. hardly anyone takes pride in there work anymore. they need to show some grattitude to their employer for giving them a job in this ecconomy. also that store is a reflection of all the employees in that store. dirty store, with stuff not priced, and laying everywhere it shouldnt be, employees who walk past CUSTOMERS without even acknowledging them with a hello or a we will be with you shortly: makes me think they are: dirty, lazy, self centered, stupid, ungreatful, unfriendly, non personably, moochers, and the company as a whole must be run by the same for allowing it to happen.

never said there wasnt deals to be had, but as a customer i shouldnt have to wait 20 minutes before a employee who has walked by me 10 times and looked right in my eye, 2 feet from me even says hello to me. thats BS!!!! an F you! would atleast be ackknowledging me!

I didn't want to start a pissin match. I just was reporting what I saw. Most of the guns I listed are not just laying around in every gun shop. I support the lil guys too but let's face it you have to fend for yourself too. If there are interesting or hard to find items at a fair price you need to buy them.

This is America. I will buy the best product for the least amount of money. I couldn't care less who it came from. This goes for people who scream "Buy American!" too. That is not capitalism, thus un-American. I am not going to turn down a better, less expensive, item and opt for some American POS just because a bunch of rednecks think that is what supporting this country is about. I will buy American. As soon as they figure out how to make it better. Until then, I will buy whatever is best. From whomever is selling it for the least amount of money. I love this country!
