Update: UTG quadrail MAK90

Hey guys,
I posted a question about a week ago if anyone had experience putting UTG aluminum quadrail on a Chinese AK. My question was not answered specifically so I sprung the $80 and tried the UTG anyway. I found it to fit perfectly I didnt even have to use spacers which were included. My biggest problem was getting my gas tube out of the Tapco handguard I had been using. Here is a pic. I have had great success with UTG products and they are made in America at least the quadrail is. Thanks to Vitamink for the fair price on another Magpul AFG. I really like the AFG espescially on a railed pump shotgun forend.

Just curious, does the aluminum handguard get extremely hot after firing quite a few rounds? Ive never fired one that didn't have a wooden handguard.

Not yet. Ive got alumimum on my AR also and no problems yet. But I do always wear oven mits while mag dumping

I have A UTG Aluminum quad rail on my AR ,Have had no problems as of yet & doesnt get to hot when Im shooting it. Loctiting the screws is highly recomended
