Are you sure you don't have that backwards?

About Colt or the locks? Not sure on the locks, but just saying I've purchased several new CZs that didn't have a lock, my Buckmark and Hi Power didn't have one, don't think my Saiga 12 had one, M+M M10 didn't have one, etc. I thought I was told by someone at ATF that all used firearms should have some sort of a lock but....you know

If you really want a cable lock, I can ship you 10-15 of them no problem

    NO!
I gave my nephew one of the dozen or so I have laying around that I have no use for.
I have a hard enough time trying to give away the ones I have...

I do appreciate the offer though.

My nephew just stopped by to show me his new Anderson Manufacturing AR15.
He took advantage of the RK ad and got a really good price, and I'm sure he will be happy with his entry into the AR15 genre, but...

When I opened the box I noticed there was no paperwork. No warranty registration card, not even an owners manual.
I also noticed there was no lock of any kind.

I called RK. They told me that Anderson offers the owners manual online for free download. O.K. I guess, but that's really cutting corners to save a few pennies.
Now, about the lock. I was under the impression that federal law mandated that a gun-lock MUST be supplied with ALL new firearms purchases.

Am I wrong about the lock?

the law says handguns have to be sold with locks, rifles do not, lots of companys include a lock for their rifles but not required too.
