Tumbling with Nu Finish

I have a RCBS Sidewinder Tumbler. I bought some fine walnut media from Harbour Freight, and a bottle of Nu Finish. I was wondering what combination to use in the tumbler. Straight up Nu Finish, or should I add any water? Thx in advance for help.

You shouldn't need more than a tablespoon of any sort of polish. And no, don't put water in your media.

I have added car wax to my media never any water.

When I add any polish or additive to my media I run the tumbler for 10-15 minutes to mix it in so you won't have clumps then add the brass.

I just pour in a capful of Nu Finish and let it run a bit, then throw in the brass and a cut up dryer sheet.

Try the media and bit of Nu Finish.
That tumbler will probably work better with Dawn dish soap and water, though. Maybe add a tablespoon of Lemi-Shine for dingy cases.

I use a media what has rouge in it and it works pretty well I get a good shine.

Good advice... I learned that the hard way back when I got started. I had to dig clumps out of .223 brass and that totally sucked!

I use about a cap full of Nu finish with crushed walnut lizard bedding from the pet store, and it works wonders.

I just use liquid wax aswell no water
