    Alright guys
i just bought a remington 870 with a rifled cantilevered barrel and scope.
It has standard wood furniture and im having some trouble with getting my scope positioned right.
I already know that im going to have to make a cheek rest to get my cheek weld height correct but the main problem im dealing with is the length of the stock.
whenever i put my head down, i have to lean forward to get rid of the scope cloud ring. The scope is already mounted as far back as it can be on the rail so i think i either need to cut down my current stock or replace it with a shorter one.
my stock measures 13in from where is attaches to the receiver to the end of the recoil pad.
Anyone have any tips to share?
Is it easier to just to find a shorter stock? If so, which work best for you guys?

Thanks in advance for your help
