Try before you buy?

I'm thinking about taking a trip to the Indy area tomorrow to look for a new carry piece. I'd like to get a compact 1911, namely an EMP .40. Anyways, I've never shot one and I was hoping to inquire the collective INGO braintrust as to which gun stores have a rental range. Or possibly if anyone has one that I could try out.

An update: I've called Pop's Guns and they don't have any compact 1911's for rent

I was at Atterbury yesterday and the guy behind the counter says they have guns to rent. You will need to call them to see what they have available.
