You guys *did* read the whole article, right? If the game doesn't sell out, the home team does have the right to televise the game, if 85% or more of the tickets are sold. HOWEVER, if they opt to air the game without a sell-out, half of all ticket revenues above 85% must go to the visiting team.

Makes sense to me. /shrug

I have hope that Colts are going surprise people and all those unsold season tickets will sell quickly. Is Luck Manning? No, but I expect him to be able to the Colts to at least the playoffs in the division since it is an easy division (not Painter or Orvwhathisname easy).

There is a market for professional sports teams recieving welfare from cities. If Indianapolis doesn't cave to the Colts, another city will. I am a Colts fan, and for the record I don't think they should have received one nickel of public funding for their stadium. However, if Indianapolis wants major professional sports teams like the Colts and Pacers then they have to compete with other cities. It sucks but that is the reality.

The new stadium wasn't all about the Colts. They host conventions, band competitions, concerts, and other things in there. In reality, Colts only use LOS between eight and ten times a year for games.
